Poigai Azhwar was born in a village near Kanchipuram in the seventh century. From childhood, his thinking was always on the almighty, Lord Vishnu and made up his mind that he should follow him. He wanted to spread His fame to the world. He learnt all the religious speeches and acted according to it and led his life as how a true devotee should lead life.
